Charlotte Stanford
For a long time, Charlotte’s life looked very different to how it does today. She spent many years working in financial services as a broker, building a successful career in a fast-paced, high-pressure world. From the outside, everything appeared stable and accomplished. Over time, however, her body began to signal that something was out of balance.
After years of chronic pain and fatigue, Charlotte was diagnosed with hypermobile Ehlers Danlos syndrome and POTS. This became a turning point. Learning how to move safely, rather than pushing through discomfort, became essential. Through Pilates and mindful movement, she rediscovered trust in her body and a more sustainable way of living.
From this experience, Charlotte went on to create her Pilates studio and Repose with every body in mind. Her work is grounded in the belief that movement should meet you where you are. Sessions are guided with care, intention, and respect for individual pace, supporting the body rather than overwhelming it.
That personal journey now gently underpins everything she offers.

Founded by Charlotte Stanford of Stanford Pilates based in Lincoln, Lincolnshire UK, Repose was specifically created for women of all ages, both experienced and new to Pilates, who lead full, demanding lives and understand the value of time well spent.
Our retreats offer you a well deserved opportunity to step away from the everyday and then return feeling restored, composed, and renewed.
Thoughtfully designed Pilates sessions form the foundation of each retreat, encouraging strength, ease, and balance in equal measure. Set within beautifully unique, calming surroundings, Repose provides space to unwind, move with intention and enjoy moments of quiet without expectation, distraction or pressure.
We believe that true restoration comes from simplicity, quality, care but also well deserved luxury. By allowing yourself time to reset and repose, you leave feeling lighter, clearer, and better equipped to step back into the world with the confidence and energy you need to be your best.
